Hospitality Skills Training

APPI conducts technical and vocational training through it affiliate, Asia Pacific Tourism Training Institute (APTTI). Training programs range from one week to one month, depending on the training needs analysis conducted for a particular group.

APPI has conducted entry-level and upgrading training for hotel staff in the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, and Food and Beverage Preparation areas. Important components of these training programs are modules on delivering Quality Customer Service; Improving Communications Skills, and English for the Hotel Industry (Situational English).

To sustain these training programs, APPI offers train-the-trainers programs for hotel supervisors and managers.

All hospitality training programs are customized to suit the client’s specific requirements.

The last training program conducted by APPI was in Davao City in July 2014 for Eden Mountain Resort staff. This was funded by ADB-CIDA from its Php7-million grant to the Department of Tourism for skills training for tourism workers in the priority tourism development areas.
